The Raith Laser Systems (formerly 4PICO) PicoMaster-H series is the next generation of mastering systems and the world's first and currently only purpose-built direct laser writers for the origination of security holograms, OVD's, computer-generated holograms, HOE's and DOE's, diffractive patterns, Fresnel lenses, Fresnel bas-relief' images, micro-mirror and micro-lens arrays, and many other types of 2.5D, greyscale, micro-structured optical surfaces.
The PicoMaster 200-H is Raith Laser Systems flagship model. It offers a complete package to expose all kinds of 2.5D, greyscale, seamless, micron, and sub-micron scale structured surfaces over 200 x 200 mm (8" x 8") areas. No additional and expensive options are required. The system is supplied with a 405nm laser, 225nm high-resolution mode, professional 4,096 greyscale mode, three software-selectable spot sizes/resolutions, a high-resolution optical auto-focus system, and PicoHLD, a fully-featured, user-friendly hologram, diffractive pattern, and Fresnel lens design and composition program. The system is also supplied with Spatial Imaging's Pattern Generator, a program for the generation of random shape and gradient 'pillars of light' patterns for security and packaging applications.
De La Rue, the largest and oldest banknote printer in the world and one of the world's leading security hologram providers. has announced: 'we continue to evolve our portfolio, most recently introducing a direct-write micro-lithographic imaging platform, which enables new, distinguished bold effects.’
Unlike micro-lithography, which requires an array of optical components, single or multi-beam direct-write lithography creates seamless, non-pixellated, noise-free, and distortion-free holographic gratings and other micro-features.
